The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has condemned the brutal murder of Benjamin Ekom, a Nasarawa based journalist.
Ekom, a one-time treasurer of the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Nasarawa State council, was killed in his residence on Monday night, by yet to be identified persons.
Governor Sule, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Ibrahim Addra expressed shock over the killing even as he assured that his administration would do its best to fish out perpetrators of the wicked act.

The statement read: “Governor Sule condemns in totality the killing of Mr Ekom and all other peace loving citizens killed across the state by enemies of peace and progress of Nasarawa State and the country at large.
“Let me reassure all citizens of our state that we shall fish out these criminals, and shall not relent in our efforts to secure lives and livelihoods of all inhabitants of the state.
“The security agencies have been put on alert and will pursue without ceasing until these criminal elements are hunted down and brought to justice.
“Our prayers are with the families of all those who lost their lives at the hands of doers of evil in the land. As a government, we shall remain resolute and focused on the task of building a prosperous and peaceful Nasarawa State.”
