At least two people have died and more than 50 injured after two trains collided in the US state of South Carolina.
A passenger train with about 139 passengers on board hit a freight train, the Lexington Sheriff said.
The collision occurred near Charleston Highway and Pine Ridge Road, authorities said.

South Carolina’s Red Cross chapter tweeted that emergency responders were at the scene.
Online posts referred to “walking wounded” passengers seen walking along the tracks.
The sheriff’s office said about 50 people were taken to hospital with injuries.
