The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing in the application by Emeka Ihedioha and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to review its judgment that sacked Ihedioha as Imo State Governor.
The adjournment was at the instance of Ihedioha’s lead lawyer, Kanu Agabi, who after the case was mentioned, sought time to enable parties to file the necessary papers.
In a brief ruling, the seven-man panel of justices led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Tanko Muhammad, granted Agabi’s request for an adjournment and subsequently fixed hearing for March 2, 2020.
Other members of the panel are: Justices Sylvester Ngwuta, Kayode Ariwoola, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Inyang Okoro, Amina Augie, and Uwani Abba-Aji.
Security in and around the apex Court was beefed up by police and other security operatives during proceedings.
