Sunny, hazy, cloudy skies expected on Saturday – NiMet

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over the central states of the county on Saturday with dust haze condition over Lokoja, Makurdi axis throughout the period.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Friday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 29 to 37 and 11 to 18 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that the southern states would experience early morning mist and fog weather conditions throughout the forecast period.

It also predicted partly cloudy to cloudy sky in the afternoon/evening hours with day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 36 and 18 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, Northern states will experience sunny and hazy condition with day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 33 and 10 to 18 degrees Celsius respectively.

“The northern and central states are anticipated to be in sunny and hazy conditions while dust haze condition is not unlikely over Lokoja, Makurdi and Enugu axis.

“The moisture influx is expected to give early morning hours fog/mist condition and partly cloudy to cloudy sky in the afternoon and evening hours over the southern states within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
