Lagos State Chapter of the Socialist Party of Nigeria, SPN, has condemned the non-payment of the road sweepers in the employment of Visionscape Limited.
The party therefore, demanded the immediate payment of all outstanding salaries and improvement on the working conditions of all workers.
It described the none payment of the workers salaries as evidence of failure of the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode led All Progressives Congress, APC, “parasitic policy of Private Sector Partnership, PSP, which does not only encourage casualisation but inhuman treatment of the workforce,” adding, “SPN demands an end to outsourcing method of employment and demand decent work for workers.“
A statement signed by RUFUS OLUSESAN and RUFUS OLUSESAN, State Chairperson and Secretary, respectively, noted that it was regrettable that Lagos APC regime despite generating over 120 billion naira; 20 much bigger than most States of the Federation and the management of waste has been abysmally poor.

Lagos State Chapter of the Socialist Party of Nigeria (SPN) condemns in totality the non-payment of the road sweepers who work with Visionscape Limited. We demand immediate payment of all outstanding salaries and improve on the working conditions of all workers.
This is clear evidence of failure of the Lagos State Governor Ambode led APC parasitic policy of Private Sector Partnership (PSP), which does not only encourage casualization but inhuman treatment of the workforce. SPN demands an end to outsourcing method of employment and demand decent work for workers.
It is regrettable that Lagos APC regime despite generating over 120 billion naira; 20 much bigger than most States of the Federation and the management of waste has been abysmally poor.

Lagos SPN demands the following:
· All Sweepers should be given full employment in public service in line with Civil Service rules of engagement as against the current casualization
· All Sweepers should be given the required equipment and safety guards necessary to protect them against hazards, accidents etc.
· All Sweepers should be enrolled into viable life insurance and guaranteed living pension.
· All Sweepers should be placed on N30,000 minimum wage structure with room for adjustment in line with inflationary rate.
