South-South APC Youth Leaders Pass Vote of Confidence On Akpabio

The South-South Youth leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), over the weekend, passed a vote of confidence in the Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

They also declared their unreserved support for the various decisions taken so far in the ministry, which are intended to bring back the lost glory of the ministry, in line with the dreams and aspirations of its founding fathers.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Youth Leaders’ Retreat with President Muhammadu Buhari, which had in attendance, the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and 36 Youth Leaders of the party at the Presidential Villa, the South-South youths passed a vote of confidence on him.

The Akwa Ibom State Youth Leader, Mr. Stephen Ntukekpo, said “Chief Akpabio is a leading light of the APC. He has proven his worth by his full support for President Buhari, the party and his present activities in the Niger Delta Affairs Ministry.”

In the same vein, the Cross River State Director of Field Operations, Directorate of President Muhammadu Buhari 2019 Presidential Campaign Committee and Youth Leader of the party, Effiom Ekaha Otu, commended the former governor of Akwa Ibom State, saying, “we are passing this vote of confidence in Akpabio because he is an outstanding South-South leader, who has repeatedly, shown that governance is about the people and not self-promotion.

“During his 8 years as governor of Akwa Ibom State, the Hon Minister changed the face of the state and touched lives like never before, thus, earning the sobriquet, Uncommon Transformer.

“We are passing this vote of confidence in Akpabio because he is an outstanding South-South leader, who has repeatedly shown that governance is all about the people and not self aggrandisement and self-promotion.

“On assuming office as Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, he has been a stickler for performance, committing himself to ensuring the speedy development of the Niger Delta Region in tandem with his ministry’s mandate.

“As representatives of the party’s young people, we are happy to be associated with Chief Akpabio and we assure him of our unalloyed support across the South-South zone, as he keeps up his exemplary leadership,” Otu declared.
