Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has approved the appointment of Major Sanusi Muhammad as the new Emir of Kaura-Namoda.
He take over from his father, late Emir of Kaura-Namoda, Alhaji Muhammad Asha who died last week after a brief illness.
A statement by Zailani Bappa, media aide to the governor, said that Muhammad’s appointment followed a recommendation by the area’s traditional council.

The 40-year-old new Monarch, is said to be a serving Major in the Nigerian Army.
Gov. Matawalle congratulated the new appointee and wished him success in his new task.
