Samklef Blames Nollywood For Increased Rates In Ritual Killings

Nigerian music producer, Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef has blamed Nollywood for the increased rate of ritual killings in the country.

In a tweet shared via Twitter on January 15, 2022, Samklef wrote, “Igbo Nollywood, English and Yoruba movie are the reason why a lot of young boys are doing rituals. They keep promoting fetish stuff in all their movies.”

The music producer urged movie producers to do better by making sure that movies are not based on juju and religion.

“Nigerian movie producers can do better. Everything must not be based on juju and religion.”

Recently, there has been a surge in ritual killings by young people in the country.

Nollywood comic actor, “Okon Lagos,” had already expressed worry over these killings on his social media page.
