Lawal Daura, the sacked director general of the Department of the State Security Service, DSS, has been arrested.
He was said to have been arrested shortly after he briefed the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Following the siege laid to the National Assembly Tuesday morning by security agencies, Osinbajo summoned Daura and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
Daura who arrived the office of the Acting President at about 1.15 p.m. was said to have been arrested after his briefing.

It was gathered that he was taken out through an alternative exit.
The leadership of the National Assembly was to hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday but was prevented by security forces which laid siege to the complex.
The emergency meeting was called in response to the appeal of the Presidency that the National Assembly should reconvene to ensure the smooth flow of government activities.
The Senate had decided to adjourn for two months following alleged continuous attack on the leadership of the legislative house by security agencies.
