A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, has sentenced Gracious David-West, a serial killer, to death by hanging.
David- West, killed several ladies between July and September 2019. Most of his victims were sex workers.
Delivering judgment on Friday, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, said the suspect was convicted of the murder of eleven young women and attempted murder of another victim identified as Benita Etim in a hotel in 2019.

He held that the prosecution team had convinced the court that David-West actually killed all eleven women at various hotel rooms in Port Harcourt and other parts of the state.
The court, however, discharged and acquitted the second defendant, Nimi Thankgod who was accused of dumping the remains of one of the victims of the serial killer in a dustbin, saying that the prosecution was not able to prove its case that Thankgod actually committed the crime.
