The next presidential election has been scheduled for February 16, 2019.
The same applies to the National Assembly election.
This was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Tuesday.
The governorship and the state assembly election will hold on March 2.

The same goes for Abuja area councils elections too.
INEC also said the primaries for presidential and National Assembly elections would commence on August 18, 2018 while the campaigns would formally commence on November 18.
As for the governorship and state assemblies campaign, the electoral body said the date for the commencement was December 1, 2018.
