The much talked about big game in the 2018/19 English Premier League between Chelsea and Manchester City has ended in a 2-0 win in favour of Chelsea FC.

Man City have now lost their first game in the League, while Chelsea came into the game with three losses.

The match, which was played in West London, Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea Football Club gave football fans a lot to cheer about. The stadium was full to capacity.

The home side went ahead in the first half through Ngolo Kante goal at the 45th minutes of play. In the second half of the game, Chelsea compounded the misery of their visitors, Manchester City, through a second goal from David Luiz who rose so high above others to nod home the ball at the 78th minute.

Prior to the match, many pundits predicted that Manchester City would run over Chelsea within minutes having gone into the match with a clean slate. But that did not happen.

Man City who were 10 points off Chelsea before the match have now lost the summit of the table to Liverpool, Liverpool is on 42 points, City now second with 41 points and Chelsea 34 points to retain third position.
