According to the statement, the unnamed suspect during further interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department made useful statements and confessed to the killing of 38 persons.
The police spokesman, said though, that the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed DanMallam, had directed further investigation into the case, quoting the CP as handing down three options to criminal elements in the state – submit to the police, vacate the state or face the consequences.
The commissioner while appealing to law abiding citizens of the state to go about their normal businesses warned that under his watch, the command was ready to flush out criminals or bring them to justice through due process.
