The Plateau State Government has declared today (Friday, Feb. 7) as a work-free day to celebrate the day of forgiveness and reconciliation.
Recall that the Governor, Simon Lalong had on February 7, 2019, inaugurated the ‘Garden of Forgiveness’ in Jos, the state capital.
According to the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Danladi Atu, who announced the holiday in a statement on Thursday, the government instituted the day to highlight the “importance of forgiveness and reconciliation in the process of peace building in the state.”
