Security operatives had an uphill task on Thursday as popular musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was among the 2152 Batch “B”, Stream 2 corps members sworn-in at the Lagos State National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.
His fellow corps members and staff of NYSC rushed to catch a glimpse of him, thus causing chaos.
He was eventually taken away for safety.
He spoke to journalists about the NYSC programme and its importance.
His words: “I am a youth and I am delighted to serve my fatherland.
“NYSC is also a leadership development programme and since I will not remain a youth forever, I have to start preparing myself for the future.’’
