National Vice Chairman, South/South of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Emmanuel Ogidi, has declared that all the processes leading to the defection of the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, to the party was smooth and successful.
Ogidi, who spoke to Journalists soon after joining the Edo State chairman of the party, Mr. Tony Aziegbemi, and other chieftains of the party to receive the governor into the party, said there was no problem with the negotiation, adding that he was elated that Edo State had become a PDP state.
“So, we are happy that the governor and his deputy are coming in to pick the party’s ticket for the September 19 governorship election.

“After 12 years outside the Edo State Government House, there is no PDP member who will not be happy to see the party’s flag being hung in the State House once again,” he said.
Obaseki formally joined the PDP after his recent resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was received by the PDP leadership, led by the state chairman, Mr. Aziegbemi.
