Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo State, Kehinde Ayoola, is dead.
He died on Thursday.
The commissioner, who served as Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly during the administration of late Governor Lam Adesina, was said to have died after a brief illness.
The Oyo-born politician represented Oyo East/Oyo West State Constituency between 1999 to 2003 under the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
He also servered as the DG of the Seyi Makinde Campaign Organization under the SDP in 2015.

In 2019, he served as the Deputy DG of the Omituntun Campaign Organization that ushered in the present administration in Oyo State.
He was appointed Commissioner in 2019 after the inauguration of the Seyi Makinde administration.
As Commissioner for Environment, the late Ayoola oversaw the inauguration of four environmental tribunals for the enforcement of the state environmental laws.
The late Ayoola, a graduate of Animal Science and Environmental Management and Control, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and married to a Professor of Agronomy, was a member, Association of Environmental Impact Assessment of Nigeria.
