Over 45,000 People Test Positive For Coronavirus In Nigeria

The total number of people who have tested positive for the Coronavirus disease in Nigeria on Thursday rose to 45,244.

This followed the confirmation of 354 new cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The health agency in a post on its website, also said three persons died from the virus on Thursday, bringing the total number of deaths across the country to 930.

The post further revealed that 32,430 persons have fully recovered from the disease.

The new cases were reported from 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory, according to the NCDC.

The FCT recorded the highest number of new infections with 78 cases, followed by Lagos with 76 cases.

Others are: Kaduna (23), Ebonyi (19), Oyo (18), Nasarawa (17), Rivers (17), Delta (16), Kwara (15), Akwa Ibom (13), Edo (12), Ogun (12), Plateau (11), Kano (9), Bauchi (6), Borno (6), Ekiti (6).
