Traders in Osun have declared their support for Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, describing his infrastructure development in the state as unprecedented.
The traders made the remarks during an engagement programme organised by the Special Adviser to the governor on Civic Engagement, Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, in Osogbo on Monday.
Speaking through the Iyaloja of Alekuwodo Market, Osogbo, Chief Sidikat Abidoye, the traders described Oyetola as a man of repute, whose leadership style and inclusive governance have had positive impact on the people of the state.
Abidoye, who said their support for the governor was non-partisan, noted that it was based on “his monumental achievements” since assuming office.
“It is crystal clear that Oyetola has demonstrated an uncommon sense of duty and patriotism in contributing to the wellbeing of the people, especially the implementation of populist programmes such as Civic Engagement and series of people-oriented policies.
“This is aside the myriad of infrastructural projects he had embarked upon across the nooks and crannies of the state which have immense socio-economic benefits.
“The ongoing construction of flyover bridge at Olaiya Junction in Osogbo, is of particular mention, as it will be of great advantage to our businesses,” she said.
Abidoye pledged that the traders would continue to support the governor to succeed.
She, however, urged the governor to consider them for more value added benefits, such as loans, among other social empowerments to boost their businesses.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to the governor on Civic Engagement, Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, thanked the traders for showing appreciation.

Oyintiloye said that the governor would not relent in pursuing goals that would benefit the masses.
He noted that the civic engagement office was created by the governor, with the sole intent to integrate the needs and yearnings of the people in the policy formulation process.
Oyintiloye assured the traders that their demands would be given adequate consideration.
He urged them to continue giving their supports to the administration.(NAN)
