The Government of Osun State has declared Thursday a public holiday, following the governorship rerun election slated for the day.
This is to enable public workers to participate in the exercise.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Sola Fasure, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.
The election rerun will hold in seven polling units across four local government areas of the state.
They are Ife North, Ife South, Orolu and Osogbo local government areas.

It would be recalled that the election rerun came about following the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that the Saturday governorship election in the state was inconclusive.
The allegation was that the election was fraught with malpractices in some areas.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Ademola Adeleke, and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gboyega Oyetola, will be slugging it out.
They have the highest votes in the Saturday election.
