National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Uche Secondus, on Friday in Abuja led other leaders of the party on a protest against the result of the recently held Osun State Governorship election.
Notable leaders among the protesters included Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State; former Niger State Governor and presidential aspirant Sule Lamido; Senator Dino Melaye, and others.
The protest began from the national headquarters of the party to the headquarter’s of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.

The PDP stalwarts are asking INEC to declare their party’s candidate senator Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the election.
The PDP has insistently alleged that the Osun governorship election which began on September 22 and ended with a rerun on September 27, was massively rigged by the All Progressives Congress (APC) with the active collaboration of the electoral body and the security operatives.
It also insists that it’s candidate, Adeleke won the election and should be declared as such.
The protesters on Friday wore T-shirts that alleged that the INEC are arms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
