Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has expressed displeasure over the delay in payment of the July 2019 salaries of workers in the state.
He has, therefore, directed the office of Head of Service and the banks responsible for the payment to speedily resolve whatever issues causing the delay and commence salary payment by Friday August 9, 2019.
The Governor gave the directive in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase and made available to the Next Edition.
Ortom re-emphasized his directive to Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs of government to ensure that salary payment vouchers were ready before or on the 20th of every month.
He also restated his administration’s commitment to ensuring workers’ welfare and overall development of the state.
