Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has written to the Nigeria Police Force over the Offa robbery incident in Kwara State.
This follows a request to that effect by the Nigeria Police Force, which declared on Sunday that five leaders of the robbery gang, arrested over the incident, implicated him.
Saraki made the announcement on Thursday on his twitter handle, @bukolasaraki.
His tweet reads: “In line with their request, earlier today, the Police received my response to their letter on the investigation into the Offa robbery case.”
No fewer than 33 people were killed in the incident.

Suspected leaders of the gang and others were eventually arrested by the police.
According to the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force, Mr. Jimoh Moshood, the suspected robbers revealed that they had direct link with the Senate President.
He was therefore summoned to explain all he knew about the incident.
However, the summon was later reversed and he was asked to write all he knew about the casewithin 48 hours.
The suspects had confessed to have actively participated in the robbery.
