The resignation of Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, over the forgery of her National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Exemption Certificate, has been greeted with mixed reactions.

The social media has been awash with reactions with different people expressing their opinions.

While some consider her resignation as honourable, others consider it as a decision taken too late.

Others hold different opinions, saying that the services of a brilliant Nigerian was done away with just because of a mere certificate.

Below are some of the reactions as captured on the social media:

@Ogoochukwu_n:  We just a lost a national treasure over a piece of certificate. The funny and annoying thing is that the same people will come here campaigning for NYSC to be scrapped and will pay, if convenient, for a fake certificate.

@Poetdinma: All she had was her British accent. Let’s be fair. She ain’t fit for the large and cerebral shoes of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. I quip this without pedantry.

@Sandra_trump:  Kemi has finally gone down. Buhari has to resign too because he has no WAEC certificate. A dullard ruling 180 million mumu Nigerians who are scholars and professionals.

@Sunshieandrainbows:  All of you who are celebrating are so stupid. This woman just resigned with probably nothing less than $100m hidden away somewhere. Who is the real maga? smh. When will the masses learn? Shit ain’t going to change.

@udboss:  If she actually resigned, then it is a step in the right direction. Certificate seems to have been forged. Hence, she needs to resign her post and she can then apply for a proper exemption certificate.

@Iretybee:  Oh my God! She must have pissed off some people. If I call this Patriarchy now some people will start screaming ‘’feminist.” I know many male politicians don’t go down for even worse offences.

@nikkygal: But does NYSC certificate help solve the financial problems of Nigeria? I don’t understand? Does NYSC certificate make you perform your job better? Irrelevant issue.

@Itobi_jr:  Beginning of democracy in Nigeria. In a sane democracy, this woman is supposed to have been fired since.

@ Creo Oj:  Many of you shouting about #KemiAdeosun forgery case are also guilty of same but your day is yet to come. Just pray your file would not be opened one day.

@Iamhillcrest:  Why didn’t she resign when the matter was still fresh out of the oven? She probably has finished plotting one or two underground graphs that gives her and her generation financial security/freedom. Any ways, salute Ma.

@Bubujones77:  Well, her act is honourable and commendable. So, I urge His Excellency, the President of Nigeria, the Senate President, Senator Dino Melaye to take a cue and tender theirs. Its time they lead by example and set the record straight.
