The top four best graduating students of the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Ogun State, have been offered full scholarship of the Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja.
The Principal of the College, Mr. Ercan Yilmaz, disclosed this at the 13th graduation and valedictory ceremony of the school held in Lagos.
According to him, the students will get 100 per cent free tuition at the university in the different courses they might choose.
The four best graduating students are: Ifolaja Busayo, Habiba Taiwo, Sanusi Ganiyatu and Omaore God’s-Favour.
In his speech, the principal noted that the graduating students had been fully prepared to move ahead in their academic careers.
His words: “To some of us who taught them, these children’s first day in school seems like yesterday, essentially because of their eventful passage, remarkable achievement and dedication to academics.
“I believe they learned much from the school and the much they learnt will by God’s grace, see them settling to the rigours and demands of tertiary education in any part of the world.”
The principal said that the students, who began their journey in the school in September 2012, had contributed in shaping some of their class programmes.
Mr. Yilmaz commended the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) for their support of the school’s programmes.
He said they had “constructively criticized some of the school’s policies when they believed there were better options.”

In his comments, the PTA chairman, Mr. Aminu Opeyemi, urged the graduating students to add value to humanity and be determined to be successful.
He pointed out that “graduation is not about what you have done at the college, but how you can make use of the opportunities in the higher institution to sharpen your future.”
One the recipients of the scholarship, Ifoloja Busayo, who spoke on behalf of the others thanked the college for its generosity in offering them scholarship and promised that they would do the college proud by being good ambassadors.

41 prizes were presented to various award winners.
