The Federal High Court, Abuja, has refused to grant bail to Maryam Sanda who is standing trail over alleged murder of her husband, Bilyamin Muhammed Bello.
She was reported to have murdered her husband in November over alleged infidelity.
During Sanda’s appearance in court on Thursday, her counsel, Joseph Dauda, appealed for bail, in the interest of her six months old baby she is nursing.
The baby who was brought to the court cried while the case was going on.
However, Yusuf Halilu, the judge, turned down the request.

His argument was that the bail application could only be heard until all defendants had been arraigned.
Already, the police had amended the charge against Sanda with three other defendants added.
The other suspects are the mother of the suspect, Maimuna Aliyu; her brother, Aliyu and one other person.
Justice Halilu ordered that Sanda should be returned to the prison where she had been kept since November 24 when she was arraigned.
Sanda had pleaded not guilty to the charge against her.
