Despite the announcement made by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) suspending the use of the National Identification Number (NIN) as requirement for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration, candidates in their number still besiege the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC) office.

Recall that JAMB had on Saturday, attributed the suspension to technical issues regarding the registration system at the NIMC as a major reason for the suspension.

Some of the candidates, in an interview, expressed doubt on the finality of JAMB’s suspension notice for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

An applicant, who simply identified himself as Akin Omotunde emphasised that since he and some of his friends have completed some data capturing processes it would not be out of place to complete the process and obtain the document.

Omotunde, in his resolve, said he would not be deterred by the pains and frustration he had gone through in the last week to get enrolled for the NIN.
