NiMet predicts partly cloudy weather for Friday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the county on Friday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Thursday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 36 and 18 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that the Southern cities would experience cloudy morning with day and night temperature values expected to be in the range of 32 to 36 and 20 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

aIt also predicted prospects of localised thunderstorms over Enugu, Abakaliki, Obudu, Uyo, Calabar, Yenagoa, Port-Harcourt, Ijebu-Ode, Akure and Lagos later in the day.

According to NiMet, Northern states will experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the range of 34 to 37 and 13 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.

“Sunny and hazy conditions are expected to prevail over the northern cities, while partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over the central states.

“The southern cities are expected to be cloudy with chances of localised thunderstorms in some parts of the region in the next 24 hours” NiMet predicted.
