Genevieve Nnaji’s movie ‘Lionheart’ which will be premiered at TIFF ( Toronto International Film Festival ) just got acquired by giant streaming network Netflix.
It becomes the first film from Nigeria to be a Netflix’s original film.
As an original on the platform, they will aggressively promote the movie to over 130 million subscribers across the globe.

Netflix made the announcement on their twitter handle.
The film is showing at TIFF on 15th September and dates for cinema showing will be announced later.
This is the star actress’ directorial debut.
The movie stars Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Onyeka Onwenu.
