Rev. (Dr) Yakubu Pam, the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), has assured Nigerians that he will serve the country with greater sense of responsibility as long as God lives and watches over him.

Pam, in an interview with The NEXT EDITION at the weekend, said as the new helmsman of NCPC, in the course of discharging his responsibility, he would be guided by the Act establishing the agency, which made him its Chief Accounting Officer.

According to him, having studied the Act that empowers the Executive Secretary as the Chief Accounting Officer of the commission, he was going to be accountable for every deeds and misdeeds of the agency.

Pam said he would not want to be associated with corruption or anything that could dent his image and the image of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), promising that he would want to be seen as an ambassador of the association.

He also promised to redeem the NCPC’s image as he would build a credible agency that would be the envy of other federal institutions in the country.

Pam said henceforth, intending pilgrims from Nigeria would undergo thorough screening to ensure only genuine ones go to Israel and other Christian holy lands like Rome.

He promised to go on a relationship drive among his staff, relevant stakeholders, Muslims and Christians across the country to ensure mutual respect and unity among all and sundry in the country.
