Novone Consult Limited has announced March, 2018 for completion and hand over of the first phase of 30 units of sustainable semi-detached bungalows of the National Housing estate in Akwa Ibom State.
Principal partner, Novone Consult Limited, Ezekiel Nya-Etok said Wednesday in Uyo that he was committed to the realisation of the project in the state.
Nyak-Etok said the projects which was the only Social Housing Project in the country with 100 units of 3 bedroom semi-detached bungalows gated with complete onsite facilities was located opposite the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
He said Akwa Ibom and its people were fortunate to have the only Social/Affordable Housing project in the country with full onsite infrastructure and encouraged residents, particularly the civil servants to take advantage of it.
He said, “Our intention is to ensure that as much as 40 to 50% of the units have civil servants as beneficiaries where they will enjoy certain concessions, and also be availed of the National Housing Fund Mortgage facility.
“This will be one of the few estates that come complete with onsite infrastructure and ancillary facilities. We are also in talks with NDDC and AKSG to ensure that the estate is a gated estate with the best of modern facilities.”
Nya-Etok disclosed that both the Akwa Ibom State Government and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) had indicated interest to be part of the project which was designed to be an empowerment scheme to its beneficiaries.
He confirmed that the project would be completed within 12 months, saying that beneficiaries to the project, which included those that balloted for it ten years ago – civil servants and the public – shall get price value of N7million, N7.5million and N8million respectively.
Nya-Etok further hinted that the project, pioneered by the federal government, was very subsidized, high quality, durable and thrown open for marketing by private individuals, especially the young people, with a 5% commission per sale.
