The National Assembly has resolved to end its recess scheduled to last till September 25.
It will now resume on Tuesday, August 14.
The recess was taken following alleged attacks on the leadership of the National Assembly by security forces.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun, on Thursday, announced the resolve of the National Assembly to resume work.
He declared that upon resumption, the legislators would consider the presidential request for virement of funds to enable the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) carry out the 2019 elections.
A hint about the resumption of the National Assembly was given on Wednesday by the Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu.

After a meeting with the legislators, he said the N242 billion budget for the 2019 election would likely be approved next week by the National Assembly.
It would be recalled that the leadership of the National Assembly were to meet on Tuesday over the possibility of attending to some important national matters when operatives of the State Security Service laid siege to the National Assembly, creating chaos.
Consequently, the SSS boss, Lawal Daura, was fired by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
