NAF commissions new accommodation for personnel

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commissioned an additional residential accommodation for airmen and airwomen serving at the 107 Air Maritime Group (AMG), NAF Base, Benin.

The new accommodation will take 30 airmen and airwomen.

This is apart from the two blocks of 120 studio apartments that were recently commissioned in the unit.

The commissioning was carried out by the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

The project, it was gathered, was in furtherance of the determination to eliminate the challenge of accommodation insufficiency in the Air Force.

Represented by the Chief of Administration at NAF Headquarters, Air Vice Marshal Mahmoud Ahmed, Abubakar said NAF was particular about solving the accommodation problems of its personnel.

The project, he said, would not only alleviate accommodation shortage for NAF personnel serving in Benin area but also significantly reduce the financial burden of rents faced by NAF in housing its personnel.

Speaking earlier at the occasion, the Commander of 107 AMG, Air Commodore Olarewaju Shobande, expressed gratitude for the project meant at solving accommodation problems in the unit.
