A Political Support Group known as Samuel Ortom Reelection Actualization Initiative has sensitized the people of Benue to make wise choices by voting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Saturday, February 16 and March 2 elections.
The group stated this when it took its deworming medical outreach to residents of Kanshio in Makurdi local government area of the state.
The Convener of the group, Mr Abel Augustine Ochai enjoined the people to vote against those who have brought untold hardship mockery and insecurity to the peace loving people of Benue.
He urged them to vote in Atiku Abubakar and all PDP candidates in the Saturday presidential and national assembly elections.
Mr Ochai who noted that only God gives power, told Benue people to vote massively for Governor Samuel Ortom on March 2 assuring the governor will continue to render effective leadership to people of the state.
He encouraged the people not to be intimidated by anyone, but to stand solidly behind Ortom and the PDP which he described as the platform that can fix back the country from its current broken conditions.
Mr Ochai noted that the motive of the deworming medical outreach was to give the residents a hope of better and healthy life.
Our correspondent reports that the group have been carrying out such medical outreach to support Governor Ortom’s efforts in catering for the health of residents in Benue State. The outreaches are targeted at children and adults, particularly those living in riverine communities and those in IDPs camps.

A volunteer with the group, Mrs Bridget Ati said the group was out with the deworming drugs to support Governor Ortom’s commitment to the health of Benue people.
She said they are also using the opportunity to mobilize support for his re-election to sustain the excellent work he is doing in the state.
She further urged all the residents to take advantage of the medicine for their welbeing and pledged that the group will continue to partner with the government of Samuel Ortom to cater for the health needs of the people.
Meanwhile, Wife of the Benue State Governor, Dr Eunice Ortom was at the event where she commended the group for its concerns on the health needs of the Benue people.
Mrs Ortom encouraged women to come out enmasse and vote the PDP on Saturday as well as vote her husband, Samuel Ortom and other PDP candidates on the March 2.
Beneficiaries of the deworming medical outreach appreciated the group and Mrs Eunice Ortom for bringing such outreach to their community.
