Meeting with Buhari: Kachikwu keeps mum

Mum was the word on Friday as the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, ended his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kachikwu met with the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for almost two hours.

But emerging from the meeting with the president, Kachikwu maintained sealed lips when approached by State House correspondents for comment.

His meeting with the president is believed to be in connection with his memo in which he complained about alleged insubordination of the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru.

In the memo which was leaked to the press, Kachikwu also complained of failure to follow due process.
