Barr. Marilyn Okowa-Daramola has emerged as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Delta State House Assembly to represent Ika North East constituency.
Declaring her winner, the Returning Officer Pastor Powell Tos Ojogho said “44 votes were cast, all Votes valid.
“I Pastor Powell Tos Ojogho hereby declare Marilyn Okowa as the winner of the House of Assembly, Ika North East primary election.”

Earlier in his remarks, the Delta State Resident Electoral Commissioner, (REC) Rev. Tom Udoh noted that he was there to monitor the exercise.
Ika North East chapter PDP has has only one candidate and we are here to ensure that no variance of any kind.
While saying that primary election will hold in Delta State as scheduled, said” President Buhari did reverse the electoral law as been speculated on social media. The rumors could not be traced to any authentic source” he argued.
Also speaking, Barr. Okowa-Daramola appreciated the leadership of the party.
“I consider this a great privilege, I will put to bear the experience I have gathered from the several roles I have played in my previous offices in the state.”
“I promise not to disappoint the people of Ika North East, my agenda is to put the people first and that I will do,” she stated.
