Mrs. Rebecca Sharibu, mother of Leah Sharibu, the only Dapchi, Yobe school girl still being held by the terrorist group, Boko Haram, has sued the Federal Government over the continued captivity of her daughter.
The suit dated September 19, 2018, with number FCH/L/cs/1528/18, was filed at the Federal High Court in Lagos, asking for N500 million damages.
A copy of the court document was made available to journalists in Jos, Plateau State, on Tuesday.
Joined in the suit are the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

The suit was filed along with Daniel David Kadzai and a non-governmental organisation, the United States-based Lift-Up-Now Incorporation.
The claim is to serve as a compensation over the hardship gone through by the girl in the past seven months she has been in captivity.
In the suit, the plaintiffs’ reliefs among other things, is to seek an order to force the government to ensure the release of Leah Sharibu unconditionally.
