In a bid to speed up the delivery of justice in commercial disputes involving small claims, the Lagos State judiciary has inaugurated Small Claims Court to facilitate the process.
According to a tweet on the official handle of the State Chief Judge, Justice Opeyemi Oke, @LagosChiefJudge, the objective of the Court is to provide inexpensive, fast and efficient judicial services.

Justice Oke explained that the Small Claims Court would also give room for self-representation by parties and encourage amicable settlement of disputes.
The courts which have taken off have 15 magistrate courts within the five judicial divisions in the state designated for its usage.
