Lagos guber: Ambode denies endorsing any candidate

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has denied report that he endorsed any aspirant for the governorship position of Lagos State.

Ambode made the denial in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna, on Wednesday.

He said the news making the rounds was a mere rumour spread on social media platforms.

“There is no iota of truth in the said statement and it did not emanate from the Governor or his office. We are not oblivion of the desperation of some misguided individuals who are hell bent on fanning the ember of discord within the Lagos APC.

“The tremendous strides and infrastructural development embarked upon by H.E. will be completed by him within the constitutionally stipulated time,” the statement reads in part.
