Lagos Govt Bans Gatherings Of Over 20 People

As the number of Coronavirus positive persons in Lagos rose to 18 on Saturday, the state government has announced a ban on all religious and social gatherings of more than 20 people.

The government made the announcement on Saturday on its verified Twitter handle.

“The Lagos State Government has banned all religious or social gathering of over 20 people within the State.

“It is important we all adhere to this directive,” the statement released on Saturday stated.

The government also stated that it has deployed an enforcement team after residents engaging in social gathering, parties and clubs, to disperse and arrest perpetrators.
