The Lagos State Police Command has announced the restriction of movements in the five local governments of Lagos East Senatorial zone for the scheduled bye-election to be held on Saturday, December 5.

The state’s Command spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, who announced this on his twitter handle on Friday, said the restriction will last from 6.00a.m. to 6.00p.m.

Affected local government areas are; Somolu, Kosofe, Epe, Ikorodu, and Ibeju-Lekki.
 

The tweet read, “Lagos-East senatorial election, no movement between 6am and 6pm of Saturday, December 5, 2020. Comply please.”

12 contestants are vying for the Senate seat which was made vacant by the death of Senator Adebayo Osinowo.
