The defection was announced on Wednesday by the Speaker through a letter which he read at plenary.

The lawmakers announced their decision to leave the party at plenary on Wednesday.

“All the honorable members except one have finally changed party to the PDP.

“Today, as I and other members of the Kwara State assembly dump the APC for good, I heave a sigh of relief. Today, I am the happiest leaving the APC for good. I wish I was never a member of the party,” he said.

Recall that earlier in the day, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, also resigned from the APC.
