It would be recalls that Muhammad Yahaya and his elder brother, Junaidu Yahaya, were abducted by gunmen on January 22 at their home in Gora Village, Maradun Local Government Area.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Muhammad Shehu, who confirmed the release to NAN on Wednesday however said, “we are not aware of the payment of any amount as ransom to secure the release of the victim.’’

Junaidu, who was dropped in the village by the abductors on Tuesday, has been taken to the Police Headquarters in Gusau for debriefing.

“We are hoping to get to the hideout of the criminals,’’ he added.
