A suspected kidnapper slept off on duty as a result of the tramadol he had taken before embarking on his mission.
He was in the company of two others who had fled.
The incident happened in Owo town, Ondo State, on Sunday, but as at Monday when he was paraded, the suspected kidnapper was yet to gain consciousness.
The suspect was paraded by the Ondo State Police Command while still sleeping following the effect of the tramadol he had taken.
The Police Public Relations Office of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr. Femi Joseph, explained that the three man gang stormed the pharmacy to kidnap the owner.
However, the pharmacist raised alarm and escaped through the backdoor.
“After failing to abduct their target, the hoodlums fled, but one of them stumbled because he was not active again due to the effect of the tramadol he had taken.

“The suspect has been sleeping for more than 24 hours after his arrest while a 400mg tablet of tramadol was found in his pocket,” the police spokesman said.
Joseph said the suspect would be arraigned whenever he became conscious.
