A suspected kidnapper in Gombe State, Ibrahim Ahmadu, has been arrested by the police in Gombe through the assistance of his victim.
Ahmadu who was paraded by the police on Thursday said Gidado Jungudo, a victim they released to go and source the N1m ransom he promised his kidnappers, rather brought the to arrest them.
Ahmadu, is one of two suspects arrested out of a five-member gang.

According to him, Jungudo upon release called the Divisional Police Officer, who mobilised his men and hunters and chased them to their hideout.
Parading the suspects, the spokesperson of the Gombe State Police Command, SP Mary Malum, said, “Policemen from the Dukku Division of the state arrested Audu Umar, 28, and Ibrahim Ahmadu, 25, from the Lapiya village in Dukku, while three others are at large in a case of criminal conspiracy, trespass, intimidation, armed robbery and kidnapping.
“Exhibits recovered from the suspects include two AK-47 rifles, two locally-made revolver pistols, two machetes, sticks, clothes, knives and ropes. The suspects confessed to the crime and will be charged.”
