Katsina Discharges Six COVID-19 Patients

Katsina State Government said six out of the 14 COVID-19 patients at the Federal Medical Centre in the state have made full recovery and been discharged to reunite with their families.

Among the discharged patients is a two and a half year old.

The medical director of the centre, Dr. Bello Muhammad, stated this on Wednesday evening while briefing newsmen at the Government House, Katsina.

According to him, all the discharged patients are from Daura.

He said the patients recovered after 19 days of treatment.

The medical director noted that the remaining eight patients were responding well to treatment.

He expressed optimism that five other stable patients would soon test negative twice and be discharged from the centre.

Katsina, which currently has 39 cases of COVID-19 has recorded one death.
