Justice Sanusi Kado of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria has directed the leadership of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, PASAN, and their agents to refrain from proceeding on strike.
The ruling followed an ex parte motion filed by Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, which prayed the court for an order of interim injunction restraining PASAN from closing down the National Assembly.
PASAN embarked on an industrial action over unpaid allowances on December 17, 2018.

In the motion ex parte filed on December 18, the leaders of the two chambers prayed the court to restrain its members from proceeding on strike pending the determination of the motion on notice before it.
The motion on notice was deposed to by a lawyer in the office of the Senate President, Sambo Ndahi.
