JUST IN : Senate Probes Senator Abbo Over Assault

The Senate has constituted an eight-member ad-hoc committee to investigate allegations of assault against Senator Elisha Abbo, representing Adamawa North in the Upper Chamber.

The committee of six men and two women will be chaired by Senator Sam Egwu.

The matter was raised as a point of order by Senator Uba Sani.

Meanwhile, the IG, Mohammed Adamu, on Wednesday ordered that Abbo should be arrested.
