The Nigerian Police have intensified their seige on Benue State House of Assembly in Makurdi.
This comes less than 24 hours after over 300 armed policemen aided a failed impeachment of the Governor, Samuel Ortom.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Terver Akase, confirmed the siege to the Next Edition, Tuesday.
Mr. Akase said a detachment of heavily-armed policemen again stormed the assembly complex, chased staff away and cordoned it off.
“The police is still occupying the assembly complex as we speak. We will make our position known soon,” he said.
