Popular Nigerian businessman and motivational speaker, Ubong King, is dead. He was aged 48.
He died allegedly from COVID-19-related complications on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
His wife, Unyime Ivy-King, who has updated her Facebook profile to a burning candle on a black background to reflect the mood of moments, confirmed the unfortunate incident saying she would not be available to attend to calls from friends and relations.
She wrote, “This is an open post to everyone just to respond to all who have tried to reach me that I’m unable to respond to because of the volumes of calls coming in.
“I will be unavailable for a while after this post so my children and I can process in private.

“All I want to say right now is that my everlasting date Ubong King has completed the short 48 years assignment that our Lord asked him to do and he’s at peace now.
“This is in response to all the calls I can’t pick just now, please bear with me. I need to keep my mind strong so love from me a distance and pray for us all.
I can’t do the RIP yet – maybe later. But the family and I are stable and God is in our corner.”
According to reports, the wife and sister have also tested positive for COVID-19 and are in isolation.
Mr. King until his death, was the founder of Protection Plus Security Limited and former chairman of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) International Chapter 206, Lagos.
